Lots of announcements today! We recently took part in the TAKE48 film challenge as part of Sydney Underground Film Festival 2022. TAKE48 challenges those who enter to create an entire short film within 48 hours, from conception, to film and all the way through editing. The challenge started 7pm Friday and ended 7pm Sunday. We were given a secret item which had to be shown on screen, as well as a secret line of dialogue which had to be spoken, but aside from this the film could be whatever we wanted!
It was a big challenge, but fortunately we had an incredibly talented crew, teaming up with 88 Miles Productions, and made quick work of it in every department. The challenge was a huge amount of fun, and we ended up very happy with how the film turned out. Next up, our film was screened along with the other entries at Dendy Cinemas Newtown, and we were surprised to see so many Video Nasty supporters in attendance! Your support means so much to us and it was a great experience to have our first ever cinema screening be supported by so many fans. There was certainly some tough competition, with some great films on display. It was a great honour to be surrounded by so many talented filmmakers and their films.
This is why we are extremely excited to announce that our entry, “The Show Must Go On”, was the winner of the Audience Favourite Award!
As said before, this whole challenge was a great honour for us, and an experience we won’t forget. We look forward to participating in the years to come! As for our film, it is available to watch for free on YouTube RIGHT NOW, click below to watch!
